I've been busy. Or something like that.

OK, so it has been a while. But I have been busy. Real busy. Truth be told, it has been almost three months since my last post. And along those lines I had considered changing the name of this blog from "Life on Two Wheels" to "Life Without a Keyboard" (except my keyboard works fine). Or "Life Without Internet Access" (except my internet access is actually pretty good out here on Bronco Lane...). Or how about "Life with Good Intentions So Give Me a Break Already"? I kind of like the last one. I do (usually) have good intentions. As far as this blog goes I always have good intentions. So whaddya think??

OK, all real and fictitious excuses aside, I do hereby promise to be a better blogger and post a little more often. That is if soembody will define what that means. OK, OK, I think I know...

ISAAC Update: The little fella is growing quickly and is the star of the show wherever he goes! He is now officially 3-1/2 months old and tips the scale at approx. 17 pounds! Sara and Corey are obviously doing something right as Isaac continues to be a happy, healthy, talkative, full of personality, little boy. And he is doing things now, too (or as Sara says, he can do tricks now!). Like talking a lot, holding his head up, laying on his tummy and pushing up on his arms, sitting up with pillow support, and today perfected the art of rolling from tummy to back. He can go to the left. He can go to the right. He can't go from his back to tummy (yet) but given the bulging biceps and larger than life quads on him it won't be long for that either! Just check out some of the photos below.

Michael continues to work more hours than there are in a week. He has the tan and the bank account to prove it! He did enjoy a recent break when we headed up to the great white north for Kath's folks 50th (!!!) wedding anniversary. Michael and I drove the 570 miles and performed as pack mules for Sara, Corey, and Isaac. Most of the junk in the jeep was for my grandson (i.e. playpen, car seat, clothes, diapers, bouncy chair, etc.) We did manage to squeeze in a suitcase each for Sara and Corey, and oh yeah, one for pack mule michael and myself. While in Michigan we stayed at my mom's house in Jackson. With Gertz clan gathering for the big party and Hammersley family gathering for the scheduled Isaac appearance we enjoyed two family reunions whilst we were there. "My" side of the family gathered on Friday at mom's house, while the myriad Gertz family and friends assembled on Saturday and Sunday to pay homage to the 50 year married couple. I was talking to Michael on our drive up and we were discussing "grandma & grandpa's 50 years of marriage". At one point Michael said that 50 years of marriage seemed like an awfully long time. I had to chuckle a little bit because that was exactly what Grandpa had said when I was talking to him about it a few weeks ago... OK, before I get my father-in-law in more trouble than he usually is already in I have to say I made that last little bit up. Always blogging for a chuckle... The 50th party was great, with mostly family and a few close friends of Marv and Judy. Lynda, Deb and Steve put together a truly memorable day for their parents and all of the people who were there.

Lindsey's wedding is now less than three months away!!! While the rest of us were in Michigan she had done some wedding dress shopping (she also finished her summer class, took her final, started a new 8-5 summer internship, and put in a final few hours at her restauarant job before retiring from The Mellow Mushroom this week...). She and Will came out for Sunday night family dinner on Bronco Lane last night and she showed me pics of the the beautiful gown. And just like on TV, I had to say YES! to the dress. She will look nothing short of stunning in it. Have your tissues ready for October...

OK, 'nuff writing, and on to some pictures. Thanks to all for your patience in waiting for this update. More coming soon!! (really, I mean it, too, doggone it!)
